The Canadian North Atlantic right whale research coordination meeting is held annually at the St. Andrews Biological Station.
General Objectives:
- Summarize research plans for right whale research in Canadian waters for the upcoming field season.
- Explore opportunities to coordinate research activities, particularly in the Bay of Fundy.
- All participants present short outlines of plans for the upcoming season, including short project descriptions, dates of field work, and vessel(s) used.
- Profile a few right whale projects in detail, to improve awareness and understanding.
- Allow an opportunity to discuss strategic research issues.

- Discussion - Coordination of field activities, research collaboration, and funding issues for 2004.
- Discuss NOAA right whale grant monies. (NOAA Protected Resource Division)
- Discuss the response to entanglements and mortality; plans for 2004. (Campobello Whale Disentanglement Team)
