This project is examining the annual cycle and interannual variability of nitrate, silicate and phosphate in the Scotian Shelf-Gulf of Maine region through the analysis of observations that have been assembled into a database. There is a focus on the consequences that the observed changes have on primary production and on the relationship of nutrient variability with water mass properties and circulation.
