This EXE file is a windows installer application to install the application
´ACON´, which holds the ACON.exe file and all the support files
for the Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT/XP release of
version 10.8.01.
Also included is the CGI version ACONConsole.exe which omits
the graphical user inteface.
NOTE: As of version 10.7.08 the aggregate command now rounds down to the the lower cell boundary value, including data containing negative values. This will affect
existing user scripts that adjust aggregated data to the center of the cell. Previously, aggregation with negative values rounded towards zero, so that adjusting for the
cell offset would be different between negative value and positive values.

Drainage.zip
(92.7 M)
|
This ZIP file contains the ACON overlay files for the drainage and
provincial/state
outlines for NS, NB, PEI, NFLD, Quebec, and Maine. These overlays are provided
separately due to their large size (for example, the Quebec drainage overlay
contains 62001 overlay line segments).
After unzipping this folder, it should be moved into your ACON overlays folder.
|
Home Folder:
If you install ACON into a folder other than C:\Program Files\ACON\ (on the PC) you should edit
the file DrivePath.acn stored with ACON.exe
in the Engine folder (MapPath.acn and ObjectPath.acn are also
stored there as well, but will not normally require editing). These ACON functions are used
to ´point´ to the home folder of ACON
so that files such as the overlay files and ACON objects may be accessed in a installation
independent fashion.
Function DrivePath() {
// returns the Drive ID that ACON resides on
return("C:");
};
This can be used to write scripts that will function regardless of the actual directory name.
Overlay_File(MapPath("coast1"));
Will work correctly as long the the DrivePath and HostPath functions return the correct path.
If you would like to be able to browse this documentation offline, a file
acondoc.zip
containing these WWW pages is available for download (713 K).
As a static document, it will not necessarily be uptodate.
After unzipping the archive containing the folder of html files,
open the file index.html with your WWW browser to load the initial page.
Note that your browser may attempt to connect to the internet to update
the page counter picture.
If you wish to be notified via email when new versions of ACON are available,
please send email to
