Cape Sharp Tidal – Opening New Doors in Canada’s Renewable Energy Sector

As a predictable and reliable source of renewable energy, tidal energy has been used for generations around the world. The Bay of Fundy's tidal resource is one of the most powerful in the world and a number of research projects are currently investigating the potential to harness this energy at the FORCE test site in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia. Cape Sharp Tidal is one of these projects. This talk is an overview of the project, lessons learned, and an update on what the outlook is for this R&D project as they prepare for a second deployment in 2018.
